As each week goes by my team and I are announcing more policies. Ken and Boris seem to have taken quite a liking to doing a quick 'cut and paste' on parts of them and then launching them as their own - but then I am told imitation is the best form of flattery! 

Twenty-seven teenagers died on London's streets last year, and a further 9 so far this year. That simply isn't acceptable. We need serious solutions for the challenges we face:

• Our streets need to be safer
• Our transport needs to be cheaper
• Our historic skyline needs protecting, and
• Our children need to be safe and able to live their childhood years as children.

No-one should live in fear of crime, but many Londoners do. This is why I am putting myself forward as a candidate. I have announced that I will cut crime by 5% each year in my first term as Mayor or quit. I mean it.
 
Ken promised to cut crime by 50% and failed and is still Mayor. I do not think it is right to make empty promises.
 
Boris is a full-time MP in Oxfordshire and has taken no interest in London before now.
 
Today my official nomination papers are going in. You may have seen in the media that Elton John is supporting me and that we now have one of Hillary Clinton's campaign managers on the campaign team.
