Cannabis, Cocaine and a nation with a drugs problem
http://pr.cannazine.co.uk : Its been announced by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, that the United Kingdom is in the teeth of a cocaine epidemic, with the nation standing head & shoulders above the rest of the world when it comes to consumption of the class A drug. Well done the Labour Party!!

Former Home Secretary Jacqui Smith failed to listen when told cannabis would cost her job. And where is she now? Unemployed!
In the meantime cannabis actions are being ramped up by Police at the behest of 'sacked' Home secretary Jacqui Smith, even though the UNODC also states user numbers for cannabis, which were on a steady downward trend since 2004 when Labour declassified the substance to class C, have continued to drop off at the same rate, and regardless of the new classification.
More than one million people regularly use cocaine in the UK - although Spain has more 'users per head'.

The World Drug Report for 2009 said purity levels were falling and prices rising, leading in 'drug warrior' terms to a stabilisation or decline in use.
But the reality down on the street is something else altogether as casual cocaine users will find themselves ingesting less of Colombia's primary export, and more of the agents used to 'cut' the cocaine, making it a more profitable venture for the organised criminals involved in its distribution.

In its annual review of the trade, the United Nations office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) said there were an estimated 860,000 cocaine users in England and Wales and a further 140,000 in Northern Ireland and Scotland combined.

It said: "The UK thus continues to be - in absolute numbers - Europe's largest cocaine market, with its second highest cocaine use prevalence rate behind Spain."

The Serious Organized Crime Agency (SOCA) has experienced difficulties in making any headway at all against the cocaine cartels, who are becoming more ingenius in the methods they use to transport cocaine to the UK. They are using fleets of craft and submersibles which would grace the Navy of many a small country.
