Its already a well known statistic that draconian drug laws actually add to the problems faced by administrators and law-makers attempting to steer a nations drug policies. Well known that is, to everybody except the administrators and the law-makers themselves.
	And whilst America (confusingly) has some of the most liberal medical cannabis laws on the globe, it is also responsible for imprisoning more people per capita on low-scale possession charges than any other country.

Industrial hemp has been a part of British tradition ever since British tradition was first invented.

As an island race, as well as one which doesn't mind the odd sea-war with that up-start 'Johnny Foreigner', GB has always put a lot of stock into having a strong navy, and it was industrial hemp which fitted out the tall-ships which welcomed the Spanish Armada, and it was also industrial hemp which helped GB PLC become what it is today.
