Cannabis no longer cheapest deal on the street
http://pr.cannazine.co.uk : While the British government concentrates on its war against cannabis, news reports from the North East of England tell of ecstasy tablets which are being sold on the streets for a pound (£1) per tablet, which is cheaper than a bottle of water or a can of lager.
Meanwhile the street price of cannabis is hitting an all-time high as the normally avoided "soapbar", (a derisory term for a cheap, low potency, heavily adulterated hashish alternative), is fetching £70 - £80 per ounce. The highest price charged for over three years.

A community worker from Sunderland, Anna Horn, has uncovered the problems while at Ryhope's Blue Watch Youth Centre.

She said: "You can get an ecstasy pill for £1. It's not like it used to be years ago when you would have to pay £10 for a pill - it's cut with different substances now. They just don't know what they're taking. It's cut with other stuff which is dangerous.

"They get cigarettes from fag houses. It's older members of the community not having responsibility to children, which is a massive problem."

As the government continues with its relentless crack-down on cannabis, class A drugs such as ecstasy and heroin are getting a grip on our streets.

Reports out of South Wales show £10 deals of heroin can now be found for only £5, with the drug dealers quick to point out the weights are the same.

But in actual fact the heroin is being heavily cut using cleaning detergents, talcum powders etc. Substances which can clog veins and arteries causing as much as a health hazard or more, than the heroin itself.

Canna Zine comment
With government enforcement causing cannabis to fetch exhorbitant prices, and class A drugs widely available but being cut with all sorts of adulterants, its probably a better bet to stick with prescription drugs or alcohol.

Clever, huh?
