Police have discovered more than £1.3m worth of cannabis resin on the back of a truck, in East Kilbride, Scotland.
Strathclyde Police stopped an articulated unit and trailer on the A726, near to East Kilbride, at about 5:30pm on Tuesday 4 December.
After checking out documents relating to the truck and driver, a search of the load area was undertaken. The traffic officers found cannabis resin with an estimated street value of £1,350,000.
The source country and the final destination are as yet unclear and remain key avenues for the police enquiry.
Two men, aged 57 and 62 years, were arrested and detained in police custody where they will be held, until a report is sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
