Personally, I'd recommend using more weed. You won't even notice the taste!
Bad jokes aside, there are a number of things that people choose to mix with their Cannabis. Here are a few of the better ones:
* Tobacco - one of the most popular herbs to smoke, tobacco's a common choice for a mixer. Rolling tobacco provides a smooth, consistent burn, and many people enjoy the resulting smoke. Personally, I'm not a fan of tobacco, but that's out of health concerns (slash paranoia). Adding rolling tobacco to a spliff can make it much easier to roll, especially when rolling with sticky or solid buds. * Wild Dagga (Leonotis leonurus) - I happen to like this herb. It's a natural relaxant, legal (read: cheap), and burns fairly well. It doesn't have a terribly strong psychoactive effect on its own (although it is quite perceptible), but a number of smokers have found that it synergizes quite well with marijuana. Check out your local headshop, or look online. * Kratom (Mitragyna speciosa) - (Note: be careful with this one. It's a pretty strong opiate. Check your medications first to make sure there are no conflicts, etc. Be smart.) Kratom's a natural opiate. It's cheap, easy to find, and the users who mix it with weed swear by it. In lower doses it may lack a psychoactive effect, but it certainly burns well enough to make it a natural mixer for your pot. The strength of the effects (and thus the size of the active dose) varies considerably from person to person and from batch to batch -- so you should spend some time getting familiar with your supply of this herb before mixing it with Cannabis. I've used Kratom before (both on its own, and in combination with other entheogenic herbs), and I've been quite impressed with it. * Blue Lotus (Nymphaea nouchali var caerulea) - This herb is a mild sedative, and a slight photosensitizer. Some users like the complimentary effects of Blue Lotus and Cannabis -- reports indicate that it increases the sedative effects of marijuana. Although I've used Blue Lotus a number of times, sometimes in conjunction with other herbs, I have no personal experience with its effects in combination with weed -- but from what I hear its pretty good.
Note: the herbs listed above may or may not be legal in your home country/state/city. Check your local laws before buying/using.
Personally, I'd recommend against using any herb in conjunction with another before you've come to understand its effects on you. This means doing research and, should you decide to take it, becoming familiar with it over a period of time. Once it is familiar to you, you can better experience its effects when used in conjunction with something else. This isn't just an issue of safety; your first experience with any entheogen should only be with that entheogen alone -- otherwise, you risk missing out on its full effects.
As always, remember to check for allergies and drug interactions before taking any substance. Even though the herbs above are legal ones, the rules of drug use still apply.
Good luck in ridding yourself of a truly dangerous drug.
