Vegan events announced across UK

There are a number of vegan events now confirmed for 2008/2009, including the brand new Brighton Vegan Fayre on March 21st 2009 at The Brighton Centre, and the dates for the Bristol Vegan Fayre 09 have also been confirmed as May 30th and 31st 09 at The Amphitheatre and Waterfront square Bristol. Both these events will be open for bookings etc from September 7th 08, and new websites are currently being prepared for both these events. Before that there are several other notable events including the Oxford free vegan food fair at Wesley Memorial Church Hall Oxford on Sat August 16th (stalls might still be available – contact Rachel on 01865 717839)

Then there’s the 5th annual Festival of Life on Sat 27th Sept 08 at the Conway Hall – celebrating all things living, raw and vegan – more info from www.festivaloflife.net including info about last minute stalls. The West Midlands Vegan Festival is set to take place on World Vegan Day (November the 1st 08).  The prominent date is expected to draw extra crowds and gain the event extra publicity.  The festival is being held in the Wulfrun Hall, part of Wolverhampton Civic Hall in the city centre which has good train and bus links.  There are still stalls left for ethical business, do get in touch for information. The event will feature 40-50 stalls, program of talks, raffle, presentation of the Vegan Society Awards on the stage, hot food and bar area. The superb Animal Aid Christmas Without Cruelty London event is on Sunday November 30th 08 at the usual venue – Kensington Town Hall in London. Heading into 2009, the first ever Brighton Vegan Fayre makes its appearance at the high profile Brighton Centre on Saturday March 21st for one day only in what promises to be a flamboyant, exciting and hugely entertaining mix of all things vegan, and best of all its all in aid of Vegfam, to try and raise awareness of their Gimme 5 campaign which started this year, as well as funds. Things hot up further on Saturday 18 April 2009, 10am-6pm at The Royal Horticultural Halls, Lawrence Hall & Conference Centre, Greycoat Street, London SW1P 2QD for the huge London Incredible Veggie Roadshow, organised by Viva!.
