But then those are stupid questions anyway since although we pretend that whole skirmish was inspired by Russia, we know for a fact that as the opening ceremonies for the Olympics began, a time when most contested border guards would be feeling a temporary ease from the stress of contending for who controls whatever piece of land is in dispute, Georgia took it upon itself to march into Ossetia to murder a few thousand of their men, women, and children with the seeming blessings of the Bush administration.

And while Vladimir Putin took the first flight out of Beijing leaving Bush’s side at the opening Olympic ceremony so he could attend to the volatile eruption of violence in a part of the world that was under his charge to keep the peace in, Bush stayed at the Olympics following the games as if he was on vacation. Then when the Russian military decided to secure the region on their own since no one in the West wanted to admit that their ally was committing genocide against who they claimed were their own citizens, Bush blamed the whole matter on the Russians. He even used his fear mongering of Russian expansionism, when he knew that was not at all the case, to push Poland to allow him to put anti-ballistic and patriot missile systems in Poland. This of course infuriated the Russians, which I think that is what Bush wanted.

You see while Bush’s constituents are losing their shirts on Wall Street as the house of cards he and his father’s economic polices allowed them to build comes crumbling down, the Russians are just beginning to recover from what they did to their economy during the cold war. So while our rich and powerfuls are loosing credibility on the worlds economic stage, Russia is emerging as a winner, that is until this recent bout of events came along giving them a significant obstacle to have to overcome. In fact it would otherwise threaten their future but since they’ve had to learn how to get by with very little over the past, well, 50 years, they’ll adjust as long as they keep their head about them by not letting the West get under their skin too badly. We on the other hand still have a long ways to go before our crooked leaders hit rock bottom after all they have done to our financial markets over the past 8 years.

Talk about opportunistic expansionism - Even now that Russia has proven why they went into Georgia by giving the breakaway states their independence, still the rhetoric about how this was all part of some master plan by the Russians squeaks by in most Western news sources as if Russia is starting a new cold war. And many of us are buying it. But the same people who think we’re heading back to the darkest days of the last millennium under the Soviets are the same people who think Russia had a hand in starting this whole fiasco in Georgia. But those of us who read what really happened and didn’t forget know that we’re actually trying desperately to put Russia on a losing footing with the West as we start a full steam march to discredit their future as a legitimate players in the world’s financial markets.

This is a lot like what Israel does to Palestinians. They can’t allow peace to ever happen in the Middle East because there are more Arabs in Israel than Jews. So if there was peace followed by legitimate elections, Arabs would outnumber Jews at the polls so a state with the star of David on its flag would be run by Muslims. But we don’t talk about that being the reality of the matter. We just rally against Palestinians for not being good prisoners in their homeland while talking about how Israel is the only true democratic nation in the Middle East when it is anything but a democracy at all. Then when Iran comes to the rescue of the Palestinians, we make them our archenemy.

But see we’re the United States. The only reason why we have so much respect around the world is because we stand for freedom. But when we take sides with the oppressors of freedom forcing someone else to have to step up to defend it, we start wars with them or make it difficult for their economies to prosper. If we truly believed in our claim to represent the foundation of freedom for the human race and had the guts to stick up for it against tyranny, the world would not be the way it is now. But what we say is that we don’t have the right to impose our beliefs on other nations, that they have the freedom to choose their own destiny.

But we also say freedom is the inherent wish and right of all human beings. And we know this to be true because even the evil forces of the world who want to restrict access to it only do it because they want it all for themselves. So even though we know that citizens living under tyranny in any country in the world want to be free, we sit by taking advantage of the cheap labor their leaders provide for us claiming we have no right to impose our way of life on “their” people, which really only means paying them for their work and allowing them to spend their money in the economy they helped build.  

What freedom has turned into, which has lately become plainly obvious to almost all Americans except those who profit from the lie, is something that people with money and power enjoy unencumbered by our political policies. Freedom is now the inherent dream of all human beings who are rich where saying or doing anything that impedes their enjoying of it would be infringing on their way of life. That’s why we have diplomacy, so the corrupt leaders of the world can enjoy the favor of the United States without us making them feel badly about the things they do that are wrong, unless they get in the way of our being the most powerful and wealthy nation in the world.  Then we crush them with no regard for the principles we pretend to believe in. We do this because we can.

So when Georgia was trying to force Ossetia and Abkhazia into a closer allegiance with the heads of the Georgia government, it was as a recognized legitimate move by Western standards because all they really want is to use Ossetians and Abkhazians as a source of cheap labor in their burgeoning democracy and capitalistic economy, much like Israel does with the Palestinians, although since they don’t have enough Jews to outnumber Palestinians in elections, it’s a tough row for them to hoe without our help.

But see Russia is new to this democracy and dream of freedom thing, like we were in our early years. To them, it still means a dream of all men being free and fruitful where honest work is rewarded with a seat at the table their efforts produced rather than having to live off the scraps that fall from it. They still have their head stuck in a kind of Marxist ideal that didn’t work very well last time around that they’re still looking for a way to make come true only now following a more capitalistic approach like we pretend to be doing. And I can tell by their reaction and surprise to our actions against them over the last few weeks that they’re just waking up to the full reality of what freedom truly means to the United Sates. It means we are free to molest the worlds economy so our leaders can be the wealthiest men on the planet while unlike past dictators, ours enjoy the recognition of being good and decent rather than for the cowardly weak and pathetic bastards they really are.

But their time is coming soon. There is a great awakening about to take place that will open the world’s eyes as well as their own to just how far down the ladder to hell the most powerful men in the world can all of a sudden find themselves. So to all of you who dream of a real freedom who are willing to put your lives on the line like those brave Russian troops did in Georgia, a freedom that is not based in a lie, that is not hypocritical but seeks to spread itself to all humanity whether initiated into the circles of corrupt perverted power, I’ll remind you that not all Westerns are willing to sell out the human race for the sake of a few idiots who want more than they could ever use and have no idea what to do with it once they have it except use it to get more.

In our historic democracies, we might not outnumber them at the polls but that is because we don’t vote. But we do outnumber them. And their time is coming. So hold on to your dreams of freedom and don’t hate us all simply because a few are willing to lie about the meaning of the most precious word the human race has ever conceived, a word they send our young men off to die to protect the meaning of how they’ve corrupted it into nothing but a lie. Your efforts will not go without meaning. My work will personally be validated just by seeing the looks on their faces when they see they are beaten. Then again as they’re hauled off to prisons for the rest of their lives.

But there will be so much more to reap the benefits of when this game is finally said and done. The fruits of a world that understands the true meaning of this great and wondrous word are beyond what any of us can imagine. But it only works when applied to all human beings, a word our forefathers gave birth to whose sons are now trying to murder and build a false religion around.

Freedom works. It’s real. It proves itself everyday even in how those who throw it around like it’s their personal slave are finding their control over even the most basic aspects of their own slice of it withering away as they forget its true meaning. Freedom made them what they are and it will break them of it as well. I used to think there was room for them to see the light and turn themselves around. But this fiasco in Georgia has shown me otherwise.
