Cannabis Postcards to Labour Party

Despite thousands of postcards being handed out, of which enough landed on the Labour Party's doorstep before the decision to reclassify cannabis for them to send us a response, they went against public demand and the recommendations of their own council on drugs.

We have heard the press is unable to print any positive cannabis stories, we believe that the government is targeting the wrong "drug" users in their war on drugs, cannabis users in the UK feel victimised for their choice on recreational drug, and it must be said, unless their is a victim of crime there is no crime, except in the case of cannabis.

Yet papers often print stories about cannabis "factories" but never ever seem to get a good story about the dangerous drugs saturating the streets, such as heroin and crack, why is this the case? Is it not more dangerous and more concerning to have 15-year--olds robbing their family to feed a crack habit, than a grandma eating a ganja curry and feeling real medical benefit?

We know cannabis is not a gateway drug, we know that cannabis is even less harmful if its not rolled with tobacco, we know there is dangerous adulterated cannabis on the streets, we know children of any age can buy it for just £10, and we know there is no control regardless of the class its put in, we know the Dutch system works, their drug use for teenagers and adults is significantly lower than that of the UK.

We ask you Editor of this British Paper, to have the guts to print the postcards we have produced and allow the public to have their say, a referendum run by all the UK papers, on the same day.

If you feel you can prove the government does not rule how you run your newspaper, we invite you to publish the postcards in your paper on the 18th October, the day before many will descend on Jackie Smiths home town and demand she listens to the UKs medical and recreational users organised by Pinky and the Protest London Group, perhaps you can publicize this event, as you never seem to manage to cover any of the cannabis protests in the UK?

Put your power behind your readers.
