Fighting from the red corner we have Lord West of Spithead, who 'moves' that the draft Order laid before the House on 13 October, (to reclassify cannabis back to a class B substance in January 2009) be approved.

Fighting out of the green corner we have Baroness Meacher, who 'moves', as an amendment to the above motion, at end, to insert the following;

"but this House calls on Her Majesty's Government to follow the recommendation of the Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs that cannabis should remain a Class C drug and to delay implementing the Order pending a further review by the Advisory Council."
